چکیده

Novel coronavirus also known as COVID-19 was first discovered in Wuhan, China by end of 2019. Since then, the virus has claimed millions lives worldwide. In 29th April 2020, there were more than 5,000 outbreak cases Malaysia reported Ministry Health (MOHE). This study aims to evaluate trend analysis using Mann-Kendall test, and predict future Recurrent Forecasting-Singular Spectrum Analysis (RF-SSA) model. The RF-SSA model developed measure daily for coming 10 days previously-confirmed cases. A Singular Analysis-based forecasting that discriminates noise a time series is introduced. assessment based on World Organization (WHO) official data confirmed after until 9th May, 2020. preliminary results test showed declining pattern new during Restricted Movement Order (RMO) 3 compared RMO1, RMO2 RMO4, with dramatic increase RMO1. Overall, over-forecasted 0.36%. indicates RF-SSA’s competence impending number proposed predicted would hit single digit cased early-June These findings have proven capability apprehending high accuracy. Nevertheless, enhanced algorithm should be higher effectivity capturing any extreme changes.

Climatic elements, discharge and groundwater trends over time using Mann-Kendall Test in the Mighan Sub-basin of Arak

This study was an analytical research across 84 meteorological stations, performed in the Mighan sub-basin over a fifty-year study period (1961–2011).This research seeks to answer the basic question of how declining streamflow, increasing temperatures, and fluctuation in precipitation have impacted water resource allocation in the Mighan sub-basin. The research method is analytical based on Man...

Mann-Kendall for autocorrelated data

The Mann-Kendall test is a commonly-used nonparametric test for time trend. However, the standard P-values obtained from it are based on an assumption of independence between observations (since the theory is that of the Kendall correlation). However, observations in time series are often autocorrelated: knowing that one observation is larger than the mean may tell you that the next observation...

Appendix: Mann-Kendall Trend Tests

Kendall Rank Correlation Let (X1, Y1), · · · , (Xn, Yn) be a bivariate random sample of size n. The Pearson correlation coefficient provides an optimal measure of the degree of association between the X’s and the Y ’s when the sample is drawn from a bivariate normal distribution. The Pearson correlation coefficient is reasonably robust for many other distributions as well. The Kendall correlati...

trends analysis of reference evapotranspiration rates by using the mann-kendall and spearman tests in arid regions of iran

abstract in this research, temporal trends of reference evapotranspiration (et0) values were investigated in arid regions of iran. for this purpose, the meteorological observations collected from 11 high quality meteorological sites for a 41-year period (1965-2005) were used and statistically significant et0 trends in the monthly, seasonal and annual time basis were detected by the non-parametr...
